The use of the dental operating microscope also allows the dentist to identify, classify and successfully handle any cracks in the dentin and enamel as well as complete caries removal. Use of Guided Implant surgery and use of a Cone Beam CT in a General Dental Practice
Each and every patient who has an implant placed in the practice undergoes a Cone Beam CT scan. The data is analyzed and each case meticulously planned. Each implant is planned and placed using the 3D data.
The guided implant placement approach has worked very well in eliminating any guess work associated with implant placement. The surgical site being so precisely planned completely minimizes the post-operative discomfort experienced by my patients. This has led to many patients having to take a low dose of an analgesic if any at all after single implant placement. This makes for a very comfortable and pleasant experience for the patient.
